What we believe

“Hold firmly to the trustworthy message… by sound doctrine“ Titus 1”9

We believe in the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired the Word of God without error in the original writing, the salvation of men and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. 2 Tim. 3:16, 17

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Gen. 1:1; Deut. 33:27, Mat 28:19.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where, at the right of the Majesty of Holy, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. 1 Tim. 3:16, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, 1 John 2:1.

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. John 16:7-11; Rom. 8:9; Acts 1;8

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost and, only through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. Gen 1:27; Rom 5:21

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. John 1:12; 1 Peter 1:18,19

We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that it will be personal, imminent and premillenial and that this “blessed hope’ has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. Acts 1:11; 1 John 3:2,3.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgement and everlasting conscious punishment. John 5:28-29

We believe in the Church composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. Col 1:24; 2:19

We believe that water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ, as personal Savior is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial service declaring in a symbolic and holy way the death of Lord Jesus Chirst and that all true believers, and only believers, should take part of this act. Acts 2:38: Col. 2:12: 1 Cor. 11:26; 1 Col. 10:16
